I bought this truck with 92,000 miles on in Great Falls Montana. It has lived in the eastern Sierra for the past 5 years and southwestern Montana before that. I love the truck and have not ridden it hard. In fact the first several years I put highway tires on it, since I the majority of off roading was done on relatively smooth dirt roads and it was my first truck ownership having always driven subarus. At its current residence in Bishop, CA it has seen some rougher roads which explains the strut replacements. Still the vast majority of miles are on the highway. For most of its life the camper is off the truck and there is a fiberglass topper in the rear.

I never planned on getting rid of this truck thus maintained it as if I would own it until its last breath or a new engine went in. Oil changes every 3-6000 miles pending oil quality. The new owner will enjoy this truck for many thousand miles to come. It has never been smoked in. Interior and exterior professionally detailed.

All REASONABLE offers will be considered. I will not split the two unless the offer is too hard to resist. Lowballing below what you see tacos and campers going for in various locations will be ignored. (truck + topper + upgrades 10,000, camper 1,000)

Mileage: 251,215 miles Not driving currently only a couple miles/day at most to put on road with for sale sign.

The Truck:
2000 Taco Xtra Cab SRB V6 4x4 manual 5 speed, manual locking hubs, manual drive shift with aftermarket wheels that will not rust. Tow package. Tires: BFG K02 30-40% left (I unfortunately unknowingly drove it out of alignment for a while and the outside tread is worn down more than center). Full size spare on steel wheel. 2.5” lift up front, about 2.7” of lift in rear when unloaded. When its loaded the front is slightly higher than the back with about 80psi in the airbags. They are adjustable shocks so you could lower the front if using the camper full time. I like the level look/function when it is unloaded

Recent Maintenance (mostly 20-30,000 miles ago except for timing belt)
-Timing belt in last 40,000 miles (I had it done at the local NAPA certified mechanics and this was the only repair in the last 5 years not done at a certified Toyota dealer)
- new radiator
- Whole new exhaust system to pass SMOG. IT WILL PASS SMOG in CA
- Bilstein 5100 shocks up front (set at 2.5”)
- New stock Bilstein shocks in rear
- Oil was changed a few hundred miles ago
- regular air filter changes
- I will include new wiper blades
- halogen headlights and new headlight glass (will include OE bulbs as spares)
- CV axels
-Alignment (within 3,000 miles)
- Door handles replaced (they broke)
- CD player with Bluetooth + new mids up front (still doesn’t sound amazing but way better than stock)
-Rubber Bed mat for camper and Dogs when they are hanging in the back with topper on

Other add-ons and stuff:
  • Used front seats swapped out at around 190,000 miles from a car with many less miles…still Tacoma Bench seats….
  • Add a leaf
  • Firestone airbags with fill valves by license plate
  • Batter isolator and wired to plug into camper in the back
  • Fuses easily removed to avoid overcharging the camper battery when you are not using it
  • Welded on camper tie downs with removeable outside portions for when the camper is off
  • Ratchet straps to tie down  yes these look bad, yes they work excellent are cheap and can easily be replaced, yes they are way stronger than the average camper tie down
  • FULL Skid PLATES: front, gas tank, and transfer case
  • Cruise control works
  • Heat and AC work excellently
  • Extension to spare wheel lowering system so you can lower the spare wheel when the camper is on

The bad:
  • Front bumper is not perfectly straight, has some dings and is missing some plastic
  • Grill is a bit rough and missing snaps: has not caused me any issue or complaint
  • Rear bumper on right dented the frame slightly and is rusted (jackknifed trailer DOH!)
  • Hood has had clear coat bubble up and has many small chips
  • Windshield is cracked: I replaced it once only to have a crack develop 2 weeks after the new one was in. Haven’t replaced since, no issues
  • It has some pinstriping and scratches
  • No bed liner
  • The fiberglass camper is a gasket type and has worn some paint. Where it touches cab. Since then I have added rubber tap to keep this from happening and it has been fine.

Slumber Queen Camper: 1986. I will just list the basics here. It is an old camper and I am not trying to sell it as anything else. A marvelous warm dry roof over your head! Not the newest, sexiest, but it does the trick. It lived most of its life in a garage and paved roads in Idaho. I have taken it on rough roads and put virtually all of the wear and tear on it. This thing was built in Canada and we have been lounging inside the camper in shorts and t shirts when it is below zero outside. It has Several inches of insulation in the roof. Less on the sides, but more than adequate. We have stayed in it for 4-5 days at a time in the winter with heat on to keep water and ourselves from freezing with NO problem. Surprised us a bit.

- Fits with 3” of width between the wheel wells to spare in the back of the Tacoma
- Just barely hangs over the tailgate when in the truck
So: 90” long, 38” wide, and 17” to clear bed
- Twin bed over the cab
- Couch turns into a bed
- Has water holding tank, never used it or sink
- Fridge does not work, does work as an ice box
- Swapped out original charge controller, easy to work on. Someone could make it look neater, but works fine as is.
- 3 burner stove
- Car battery in great shape
- Plenty of storage throughout with locking cabinets
- 2 roof vents (front vent was sprayed with flex seal as it had a very small leak in it.
This did cause some interior water damage. VERY minor.
-Front window had some leaking with minor water damage. It has been sealed with silicone
- I did poke a hole in the wall and seal it with spray foam: looks ugly, probably the strongest part of the camper. Ha!
- 20 gal propane tank horizontal type
- Coleman heater with thermostat
- 4 working 1 spare Hydraulic jacks. They all need new seals and require filling before using. Can find on ebay, just never ordered. Tried to replace and got all the wrong seals from NAPA employee who did not understand what I was using them for.
- The back right corner jack was damaged which damaged the metal. I repaired. It has not caused any issue
- back door is tough to shut, handle will need to be replaced eventually.

Text is best: 406 212 9497. Thanks for looking Jess. Scammers will be reported. I tried really hard to list everything so I didn’t have a lot of unanswered questions…please read twice, sorry its so much info. If its not there and I can find the answer I will do so.
