Specs

1 owner 2005 Tacoma SR5, silver with alucab canopy camper, all maintenance performed regularly- oil changed every 4-6k miles. Never abused or heavy off road use.

Double cab and 6 foot bed

281,500 miles

Truck Specs

Good:

Full frame replacement in April 2019 (mileage ~245,000)- Included- new frame, a-arms, new bilstien shocks, all new engine and body mounts, new steering rack, and replaced catalytic converters.

Top half of engine was rebuilt ~225k miles due to blown head gasket, bottom half was in great shape per mechanic.

Truck has independent rear airbags and add a leaf kit as well as leveling pro, which tells you how much to raise each wheel to level the rig for sleeping on your phone.

I have any and all parts (tailgate etc.) that were removed when adding camper.

Bad or making aware:

Transmission has never had the fluid changed- was told looked good in color when frame swap was completed in 2019- recently have noticed that there is a roughness when backing up not regularly or every time but feels like riding on a washboarded road initially. I suspect that an oil change will fix the issue but have been told by several mechanics- will either fix it or ruin it since fluid is as old as it is- I have left it alone and would not hesitate to take it on a long trip or travel with it at this time.

Truck is 16 years old and has its share of dings and even a few dents but has never been in an accident or had any major issues. Worst is the front bumper- installed in 2019 after trip out west and too many close calls with wildlife- thankfully it did its job when a deer jumped out in front of me on the interstate- needless to say bumper is bent but did not damage anything on the truck other than one headlight mount which has been replaced.

is it 4x4 and what do you mean there was a full frame makeover? You pulled the truck up and off the old frame and put it on another? Im assuming the truck is a salvage title?

Frame replacement was likely done under a recall from toyota, very common.

It is 4x4 and the frame replacement was under the toyota recall as Jswanson said. Truck is solid and certainly not a salvage title. I am the orginal owner and have most of the paperowrk for work completed but can certainly tell you everything thats been done. only reason i am selling is that I spent the last 9 months building out a transit van and cant justify having 2 overland vehicles.
