2008 Sprinter van. Located in Manchester NH. Price 26,000$ Price drop to 22,000 or best offer. I am working to get all the rust spots addressed and possibly have it repainted and will update the ad and the price if I get it done.
I bought this from the original owner who spray-foam insulated it and installed the Plywood panels and shelves/cupboards. Since owning it, we have used it for several trips including to the midwest, camping in Maine, Vermont, and NH. It has been awesome for us, but we are needing something that can fit more than 5 people. (if you are interested in a canoe, we are downsizing to 2 canoes, so have a couple high quality canoes for sale as well)
Awesome multi-purpose van. V6 diesel, pre-def. 175,000 miles
Setup for utility, camping, van-life, extremely versatile, no carpet. Slightly over 8 feet of space behind the bench seat.
Good:
-Insulated
-Drivers side window installed with screens
-Galvanized roof rack, can hold 2 canoes
-Bench seat easily removable-
-Brushguard/deer guard bumper
-Trailer hitch with brake controller
-Ham radio radio antenna setup
-All Maintenance records since new
-2nd owner
-2 sets of wheels/tires, winter/summer sets. Both 80% or better tread
-shelf and cupboards are removable
-Insulated window covers
-Removable bed platform
-4 key fobs
-all mechanical needs taken care of, just back from the sprinter mechanic getting everything that needed done taken care of and all records included
Bad:
-some surface rust
-has been used for camping, traveling, so not perfect looking.
Awesome:
-Amazing family vehicle
-roughly 20mpg
-all records since new
-reliable
-ready to be used as is or fully converted for van-life
-pre def, huge benefit, I have heard so many horror stories of the sprinters with def and exhaust issues on the newer vans
Work done in the last 10,000 miles:
-Brakes
-Muffler/exhaust
-Diff and transmission fluid
-Radiator
-AC condenser
-belts, pulley, tensioner
-Fuel Filter
-Cabin air filter
-rear springs
-front struts and control arms
-glow plugs
-battery
-abs module
Plans not done yet:
-Install fantastic fan
-modify bed platform to remove rear cross piece
-Second battery
-Swivel seats
-Permanent solar, have been using a charge controller and folding panel when camped for longer periods
Answers to questions people have emailed about including more pictures:
-the bed can be removed in about 15 mins
-Engine bay pictures
-The aluminum tool box behind the seat is just sitting there, it is very sturdy and does not flex when I stand on it. we use it for a bed for one of the kids when traveling, and to store gear
-the cabinets on the passenger side in the rear are built to be removed with a couple of screws while leaving the plywood wall intact
-It has never been smoked in (not tobacco, not weed, no funny smells)
-Roof rack is included, my wife and I would remove it in the winter when not using it. There are 12 bolts holding it on the factory roof rails. My wife and I can remove it, though it is nice to have a third person
-Antenna is mounted for a Ham radio/gmrs radio. A Kenwood TM-D710g will come with the van at full asking price. I have not gotten around to permanently mounting the radio, I have used the antenna with hand held GMRS and Ham radios
