Known Problems: Nothing major wrong, but several little issues that could use some TLC. I have this priced very low because I want to sell quick, and don’t have time or energy to fix anything. A little DIY and it could be brought back to perfect shape. Trailer has been well used so cosmetically it looks used but not abused. Trailer was always maintained by Bivouac Camping Trailers in Phoenix so all easy stuff to get fixed. None of the issues require immediate attention or would prevent you from camping right away, we just camped a few weeks ago with everything as-is.

Anyways, here is the list of known issues:

• Tent lift system. I was never a fan of the scissor jack system they use on this model. I replaced the scissor jacks twice before I abandoned the tent raise/lower idea, and I then just fabricated some fixed mounts so the tent is in the up position all the time. I found this much more reliable and stable than the scissor jacks. Also much quicker setup/packdown not having to raise or lower the tent. The electric scissor jack system and feet are all still included and work, I just haven’t used the past couple years

• Small water leak somewhere. Every once in a while I find a small amount of water in the storage area. I’m assuming it’s a line leaking somewhere but can’t find the leak. It’s always been so minor I’ve just ignored. Doesn’t consistently leak, just once in a while I find about 1/2 cup worth of water on the storage area floor. For all I know it could be door seals possibly leaking after rain or washing. I really don’t know, but never caused any cargo to get actually wet so hasn’t been worth investigating to me.

• Water heater may or may not work. I’ve probably used this only a handful of times since I’ve had the trailer. The problem for me has been the propane on-demand heater doesn’t consistently work at high elevations which we often camp at in the summer. Last time I tested I hear the flame, hot water comes out, but then it gets cold after a few seconds. I tried changing the batteries but that’s about as far as I got. Works fine for showering or hosing things off in warm weather with cold water, just not sure if the hot water portion needs to be replaced. I don’t believe this is an expensive repair, I know another guy local that had his changed out more than once.

• XO Jack on tongue probably needs to be replaced at some point. The tire is a bit shot, but when I looked into it it was was not much more to replace the whole jack versus just the tire. New jack is $269, I think the tire alone was about $80. It works fine as-is for support, raises and lowers fine, but the rolling around really never worked well except on smooth pavement which is never where we camp. The existing jack is welded on, I think slightly crooked which makes the rolling not work as well. BCT looked at it and said it’s mounted correct but I dunno. if I replaced I’d use the bolt on option which is all included with a new jack.

• Kitchen awning. This is another thing I've only used a few times. May or may not still work. I know one of the support poles broke, but I bought a replacement and installed. Haven't used since then. I always just found this too much a hassle to setup for the minimal shade it provides because its so small.

So this is great way to get into overloading trailer travel without breaking the bank. With Turtleback’s and Patriot’s all now easily going in the $50k range this gets you all the necessities at a much easier price. Pressurized water, storage, kitchen, electric, inverter. Even a DIY trailer build would be hard to get all these options at this price point. Clean title and permanent AZ registration. Ready to hit the trail, adventure awaits
