I know it sounds silly, but what kind of highway MPG does that beast get? It would be a daily driver for me. I drive about 130 miles daily.

It gets 15-16 mpg combined driving. A little better on highway only. I actually haven't driven it that much on the highway without the tent on top but 17-18 is fair estimate. It won't save the planet unless the planet is stuck in a ditch and needs to be winched out.

Other than an aftermarket high flow, dry air filter power is stock. No emissions deletes, etc.

Hah, I'm not looking to save the planet. Just don't want to go broke putting fuel in her. I assume it hasn't been re-geared?

Awesome rig. Definitely what I'm looking for. I would have to sell my 90 Toyota Land Cruiser and trade my current truck. That might take some time, but it's built just as i would build it out though.

I has not been re-geared. It has what came on vehicles equipped with the Tow Package and the Off-Road Package. I haven't been able to nail down the exact ratio. The AEV Prospector option group came with 4.10 ratio. Being the diesel it was recommended to not re-gear simply because it has so much torque. If a person wanted to tow or haul heavy I would recommend personalizing the ratio.

How do you like the Ridge Grapplers? Thinking about putting on my Defender. Have a 100 series with Trail Grapplers and I love them. Ridge seem like a happy medium.

This is a great build. Free bump

Ridge Grapplers are amazing. With regular rotation you can get 35k out of them even with rocky offroad use. Wet road confidence unlike a certain popular brand. Same with snow and icy roads at reasonable speeds. Aired up to 50psi they are quiet and fuel efficient on road. Air down to 25-30psi and it softens them up for forrest roads, etc. 15-20psi outer lugs and side walls get involved and they literally transform into a mud terrain. I have used them on everything from loose sand of the outer banks to muddy forrest roads in Vermont to rocky desert of Arizona and Utah. No complaints.
