Has the axle been inspected or replaced by Lippert? Unless the Trek had the Timbren suspension and I am not familiar. I have a friend looking for a Mantis.

I believe that was only on the 2021 models. The 2019 has a Dexter Torsion Axle, no recalls that I am aware of.
I should have noted that it does have electric brakes with the digital controller.

Interesting. I didn't realize Taxa had previously used Dexter axles and switched to the troublesome Lippert units. I was messaging with an associate on the Taxa website today and he did confirm Taxa has switched to Dexter axles on new units. He could not tell me at what point they switched from Lippert to Dexter.

I have a friend that is interested in a Taxa Mantis. I sent him your post here. I was trying to help him make sure he doesn't end up with the troubled Lippert axle.
