**TRUCK NEEDS NOTHING, WELL MAINTAINED, READY TO TRAVEL. Selling due to family downsize and don’t need to carry so many people/dogs around these days. Would consider trade for a stockish Tacoma with rear locker and manual transmission.**
Camper details here: Spacekap Diablo (SOLD)
Summary:
2004.5 F-250 6.0 Powerstroke diesel Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4, low miles. Fully bullet-proofed by Ford mechanic and further upgraded, modified, and maintained by mechanical engineer off-road enthusiast. EXTENSIVE receipts and notes on upgrades and routine maintenance, all OEM parts where applicable, with useful upgrades (armor, lockers, electrical, etc) as summarized below. All systems work, there are no flashing lights, blown fuses, or any other gremlins. It is a 20 year old vehicle used for adventures, so it is not cosmetically perfect, but it’s quite clean (only minor dings, no mentionable rust from CA/TX life, clean interior, etc). All mechanical systems operational and maintained.
Major Work + Upgrades:
-Fully bullet-proofed motor with upgrades (NEW HEADS, head studs/gaskets, oil cooler, EGR block off, blue spring upgrade, FICM flash + SCT tuner w/ custom tune, etc) + new Garrett turbo + etc (receipts available)
-Edge Insight CTS2 monitoring all useful PIDs + EGT temperature, fuel pressure, etc; tuned by SCT tuner (included)
-All new OEM steering components @107k miles + Warn Premium manual hubs + u-joints
-12V system wired to custom relay box and switch panel on a Ford 550 tow truck dash panel for OEM look (includes many different switches ready to be wired to your heart’s desire, minus the ones used for the lockers, compressor, house battery isolator, and Rigid LED light bar)
-Leece Neville 230A ambulance alternator with upgraded wiring all around and Ford 6.4L starter (heavy duty battery cables, charge cable, starter cables, grounds, EVERY power cable)
-2X Optima starter batteries with 3rd Optima deep cycle installed underbody in custom battery tray, used for aux or camper house power (3rd battery still works but holds less voltage than two newer main batteries, but isolator lets it still charge while truck is running, then isolate when truck turns off); main truck electrical system isolated by a low-voltage cut-off Blue Sea relay
-Pioneer receiver w/ new speakers, Alpine amp, and under-console subwoofer (excessive yes, but also awesome)
-ARB lockers front + rear with ARB twin air compressor setup with manifold (mounted behind rear seat) + underbody Viair tank and multiple access ports and quick disconnects
-Buckstop heavy duty front bumper with Warn 15k winch on 3/8” synthetic line + Factor 55 thimble, Line-X exterior, and two Hella lights (runs off stock fog light switch); used a few times to help stuck folk, never needed to self recover, but would pull out a tractor if necessary
-Custom rear bumper built by high quality local shop (AVS in ABQ); driver side ladder for camper access + basket + bike rack + propane mount + integrated Rigid reverse LEDs, passenger side tire carrier w/ license plate mount/lights and backup camera; heavy duty frame mounts with built in 2” hitch receiver, Line-X; includes full size unused spare on Method 17” wheel
-Full length frame sliders that double as useful steps, also built by AVS with great quality, Line-X
-Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer w/ 4” lift and 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers on Method 17” wheels that have the extra “grippy” bead groove
-Airlift airbags w/ modified cradles for off-road suspension flex
-Fumoto oil and coolant drain valves
-Bed liner is also Line-X, including on the upgraded 2010 tailgate with integrated step
-TONS of little things replaced/upgraded along the way, as is with maintaining any vehicle. Recent fluid flushes, oil, filters, brake components, etc. I have a list of all of these, the receipts, and the mileage at the time of the replacement. I can send this note via email to anybody interested. It is not for the faint of heart, and includes sketches, wire diagrams, screenshots, etc.
To do list:
-Fix oil drip seepage above starter(haven’t bothered with this due to the small amount of oil that weeps)
-Fix driver side front door panel from rattling (plastic clip on inside needs replaced)
-Route airbag lines to air manifold and add switches to adjust airbags from cab
-Fix driver side LCD screen if you’re into that (passenger side and visor screens both work, and were installed in truck when I purchased it)
Extra Parts:
-OEM sensors/etc (ICP, IPR valve, cruise control brake switch, etc)
-Filters, special tools, etc
-Maintenance manuals from the factory with wiring diagram (~$400 manual X 3 of them, and extremely valuable if you do your own repair work)
-Mishimoto silicone hoses, new
-Upgraded rotors, pads, and stainless steel brake lines, new
