Hello! Up for sale is a custom off road trailer that I built in 2019 around an 8 foot service body. This trailer was designed after many hours of research with the goal of having a trailer that was as capable and had many of the features as the premium trailers on the market but at a fraction of the cost. The trailer was overbuilt to be able to handle any terrain that is thrown at it.

This was truly a labor of love and I thoroughly enjoyed using the trailer during a handful of trips to the San Juans, Moab and all over New Mexico. I really hate to sell it but the recent addition of twins to the family has pinched the wallet and looking to free up some cash.

Here is a full bottom's up list and pictures of the build.

Exterior:
  • Used service body off a long bed truck (8x6') and painted in black Raptor liner for durability
  • Custom frame made from 2x3" box steel (.120" thickness) and also painted in black Raptor liner for durability
  • Adjustable trailer tongue (36" tongue adjustable in 12" increments for more compact storage and/or fine tuning for towing, off roading conditions)
  • 3500# HD Timbren axle-less suspension with 2" lift
  • 3" body spacers for increased ground clearance
  • 33" mud terrain tires with 18" Pro Comp wheels (have two additional matching spares)
  • 12" TruRyde electric drum brakes (auto-adjusting)
  • Max coupler hitch from CU Offroad (love this thing!)
  • 2000# Reese pro-series tongue jack
  • 7-pin trailer harness
  • 21 gallon water tank mounted underneath the service body and between frame (only sits 1/2" below frame for maximum ground clearance)
  • Custom tent rack made from 2" tube steel (.120" thickness)
  • (4) RGB rock lights mounted on each corner of the service body to light up the ground and (4) RGB rock lights mounted on the tent rack (all tied together and controlled via bluetooth app)
  • 160 Watt solar panel mounted to the tent rack on 36" HD drawer slides (can be completely slid out from trailer and placed in sunlight using the supplied 30' of cables)
  • Tongue box to store deep cycle battery, marine rocker switch panel, 1200w power inverter, and 30A Renogy solar controller and bluetooth module
  • Custom propane tank holder
  • LED tail lights
  • 4+ person CVT Pioneer tent with annex (minor tears in annex wall and floor were patched with CVT patch kit)
  • 8x8' ARB awning
Interior:
  • All boxes lock with same key
  • Matte gray paint throughout
  • RGB LED light strips to light up each galley (each separately controlled via remote)
  • 12v Seaflo 3.0GPM water pump
  • Gasland 1.58GPM portable gas water heater
  • Tons of space to lock up all the gear a family would need to camp
Trailer weighs 1700# dry and about 2500# wet and loaded with gear (including tent). Total length is 12' with trailer tongue fully extended. Fully titled in NM.

Asking $9,000 for everything listed. $7,000 without the tent and awning. Buyer must pickup from ABQ, NM.

Happy to answer any questions and provide additional photos as requested.

Do you have any issues with tire clearance on the service body? It looks fairly close in the pictures.

Also, I assume the wheels are 6x5.5 Toyota pattern to match your 4Runner in the pics?

No clearance issues. There is about an inch between sidewall and fender and 8" from top of tire to box. The Timbren axles don't allow for any side to side articulation so no rubbing at all.

Yes, the wheels are 6x5.5.
