Price: $2,000 OBO *UPDATE 7/11/21 - SOLD*
Condition: Good
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and I'm selling my good condition CVT rooftop tent.
Up for sale is a CVT Mt. Rainier Summit Series Extended Stargazer in Tan. Sleeps 3+ - we have fit 2 adults and 2 children in it comfortable. Mattress is the size of a California king size bed. Includes 8 x 8 Annex Room with zipper floor – doubles as another tent, or changing room – or even better, both, as well as all mounting hardware, spring rods, rainfly with PVC skylights and even zipper cleaner and lubricant for the travel cover!
- Good condition.
- No mildew or mold issues.
- Includes anti condensation mat, rainfly, annex room, all spring rods, the 12v adapter for interior USB lighting, 2 USB lights, 3” mattress, with waterproof cover, and 2 shoe bags.
- There is an extended entry opening fly above ladder for entry and exit with added protection from wind and rain.
- Stargazer has the clear PVC skylights in the rain fly that allows viewing the stars at night through the roof of the RTT (I have never used the rainfly though).
- Summit Series version includes 380g poly/cotton ripstop waterproof canvas fabric
- Insulated floor
- Telescoping ladder
- Sleeping room is 72” x 96”. Tent closed is 72”L x 48”W x 15.5”H
There is one small tear on the inside of the tent by a window, but it DOES NOT affect the use of the tent or window and is one the inside so nothing from the outside can get in. (See pictures.) Could easily be fixed / patched by someone who is good with a sewing awl and some waxed thread.
There was also a tear in the annex room no see um bug mesh, but that was professionally fixed by a local automotive upholstery shop.
Benefits of the Mt. Rainier Extended Summit Series:
- Floor is diamond plate honeycomb
- Fabric is 380g compared to standard 280g
- Straps on the cover are cinch buckle versus velcro
- Waterproof mattress cover
- Anti-condensation mat
- LED Lighting built into the interior of the tent
- Two USB ports
- 2 Shoe bags, one on each side of the ladder
- Telescoping ladder
- Rain fly is heavier with quick release buckles (I have never used it)
- Interior poles are wrapped
- Plastic fittings have been upgraded to alloy on hinges
The current model of this (CVT Rainier Pioneer Series with Extended Fly) retails for $2695, plus tax and freight shipping, totaling over $3,000, and it is currently out of stock. It also doesn’t have the heavy duty 380g poly/cotton ripstop fabric (current model is 280g).
Tent is currently on my rig (it weighs around 200lbs) but we plan to remove it Thursday this week.
