SOLD! Danner USMC Rat Hot Boot, Szie 10.5 "The Break Room" second quality.

SOLD!

Hey guys,

The Expedition Portal team posted about some fatory "second quality" boots that the Danner Factory had at a discounted price of $79.

I've tried them on and walked around the house but, as luck would have it, they're a bit too big (wide) for my skinny feet.

From my invoice:
Danner® USMC RAT Hot Military Boots

Style No. 098397805193
Width: Men's R - Medium, Size: 10.5
1$79.00
Subtotal:$79.00

Total:$85.52

Would anyone be interested in them for $85 shipped?

Oh and my daughters played with the box, colored on it and stood on it... so it got trashed, a primary reason I didn't send them back to Danner.

very comfortable boots after proper break-in!

I have a pair of the less expensive Pronghorn's which I've been hiking in for 6 years and are so comfortable I could sleep in them, I can't imagine how awesome these higher-end ones are going to be!

Yeah. I think I was primarily enticed by the price. I like good quality boots (the second quality of these are a couple of MINOR wrinkles in the leather....), but I've gotten to where I like the minimalist type shoes, and I'm also not a fan of the weight of these. They're built for Marine tough and are handsome, for sure.

I do wear proper boots when out in the desert. Lots of creepy crawleys and pointy things! So I'll probably snag a pair of this type if they come on the breakroom site...

In the desert here in AZ one Cholla cactus in the leg/foot/ankle is one too many, they're so evil you have to knock them out with a knife or a multitool because their reverse-hook clings to everything, if they weren't so expensive I've seriously contemplated buying snake chaps or gaiters for some places we go. Another feature I'm excited about of these RAT Hot model's are they're good for coping with the AZ heat.

Sounds like they'll go to good use. I'm a cheap ******** and made a set of cordura gaiters. You can order the material online or find an upholstery shop.

Received them today, very impressed, no comparison to my Proghorns on build, fit is similar, right out of the box they feel good and only get better. I can't even see the "defect" other than what looks like a little brushed leather on the instep of the left boot. Thanks for the great deal!
