Here's the build as she sits right now with a 1x9 drivetrain:
Salsa Fargo Frame/fork, size large.
- DT 530 rims
- SRAM X7 rear hub
- White Industries polished disc front hub (gorgeous hub)
- White Industries Crank, 32t single ring
- White Industries BB, stainless spindle
- BB7 Brakes
- Cane Creek Headset
- Thompson stem (80mm)
- Thompson set-back seat post
- WTB saddle
- Geax tires (brand new), Mezcals 2.2
- Dura Ace bar end shifters, 9spd
- SLX Rear "Shadow" 9spd rear derailleur
- Cane Creek brake levers
- Salsa Woodchipper 2 bars
Extras:
- Singlespeed rear wheel (White Industries Rear ENO Eccentric disc Hub, DT Competition spokes, DT Rim, eccentric brake adapter, Double Double freewheel) Total Cost $450 with freewheel
- Woody's Custom Fenders (Wenge wood and zebra wood with brass and stainless steel fixtures) $150
- Schwalbe Fat Frank commuter tires (85% life left on them) $90
- Double Double chainring to compliment the Double Double freewheel $150
The Nitty Gritty:
At full retail, this bike with all the extras is worth well over $3200 with the extras. That includes the custom fenders, commuter tires, and extremely nice White Industries Double Double drive train for the coolest dual-gear singlespeed set up ever.
As for the condition of the bike, I'd say it is a 9+. It has been immaculately cared for by me, a professional bike mechanic of 24 years. There is not a single scratch on the frame. Not one. The drive components (geared) have less than 900 miles on them. In fact, the chain is 65 miles old. The Double Double drivetrain has less than 300 miles on it. All four tires that it comes with are effectively new.
ASKING PRICE: $1750. Keep in mind, that's a bike with three wheels, two drive train options, four tires, custom fenders and other extras.
