1969 Apache Silver Eagle Tent Trailer- $1850 OBO, Located in Boulder, CO
Extremely light (~400 lbs) so most any vehicle can tow- I've pulled it easily with my Mazda 3
All new canvas- replaced from guy in Lapeer, Michigan who worked at the original Apache factory (Vesely Manufacturing) and has the original patterns
Includes optional "front porch" awning and poles, also made from new canvas
Have the original foam for the two full size mattresses, not covered though
No other interior fixtures, it's wide open inside for maximum space
Easy to stand up while inside, sleeps 4 adults, two per side
I used it with a Buddy propane heater (and a CO monitor for safety) and it stays toasty warm inside even when its really chilly out
Setup is quick with one person, even quicker with two
It tows very well and is light- easy for one person to move around when not attached to a car
I repainted it red, replaced the wiring harness and taillights with LED and replaced the original wheels/tires with larger ones for more ground clearance
Also has a new hitch coupling and safety chains.
I have taken it on some mild 4x4 roads behind my Tacoma with no issues
Great fun for the family...get off the ground!
Known Issues: It's well used, so the mechanisms can be a little cantankerous when setting up/tearing down but once you get to know the camper it goes more smoothly. The mattress foam is the original so looks less than pristine but does its job- I never re-covered it. The floor is a little soft in the corners but is ok structurally overall.
