Asking: SOLD

We bought this last summer halfway through a lap of the United States. We ended up picking up a bunch of family heirlooms on one of our visits and didn't have enough room in the van for everything. I did a complete service, loaded it up and towed it 6000 miles across both paved and unpaved roads. It tows and tracks beautifully but I really don't have any use for it now. I've entertained building it into a basecamp trailer but realistically don't have the time or need. It is trail ready. You could bolt a roof tent to the lid and be camping out of it tonight.
It is sold with a bill of sale only and has no ID plates or assigned VIN. This qualifies as a "home built" trailer. The state I bought it in didn't require titling trailers this small and I have not gotten around to going through the CA Vin assignment/titling process. It is not difficult to do I just haven't had the time. I can meet within half a days drive for a serious buyer and a small deposit.

I might also be open to trading for a GFC platform tent. I need a wedge style tent that can handle having my Bush Company 270 XT MAX awning mounted to it.
South African or US manufactured tents only.

Nice little trailer!

A few questions:

Is it watertight (weather tight) and dust tight?

What's going on on the lid? Is that rust or is the whole lid plywood? Hard to see in the photo.

How much weight are the hydraulic struts rated to? Could one mount a 140lb tent and still open the lid?

Are you selling the max coupler receiver as well?

Thanks! Obviously interested!

-Yes. The lid overhangs the lip of the trailer and provides a good seal. The trailer went through several storms while we were traveling and nothing got wet. More recently it went through 30" of rain in 3 weeks without any leaking.

-The lid has an Aluminum frame that is topped with Plywood. The plywood could use a fresh coat of varnish. My plan was to spray it with bedliner.

How much weight are the hydraulic struts rated to? Could one mount a 140lb tent and still open the lid?

-Yes. I don't know the specific rating but the original owner had a tent mounted to it. The struts are very strong and I actually removed them to make it easier to close the unloaded lid this summer. If it doesn't sell I am going to mount my OG CVT Mt Washington to the lid. I don't expect to have to mess with the struts at all.

Are you selling the max coupler receiver as well?

-Yes, if you need the truck side I will include it. I also have pintle loop that can easily be swapped over if that is your preference.

Thanks! Obviously interested!

- You are welcome! Shoot me a DM if you want to come see it in person.
