Location?
Sorry, I neglected to put that detail into the ad. I live on the border of FL and GA on the Atlantic coast - Amelia Island. I'm willing to drive a fair distance if someone is serious, knows what they want, and can have a third hand to lift it off of my truck onto another truck or trailer.

I am also interested as well. I’m planning a trip down that way end of January. Could pick up then.
Sure, that could work. Depending on the height of your vehicle, I can back you into my garage, lower it down with the hoist, and bolt it onto your load bars. Let me know what you decide and if your serious we can work out the details for payment.

Currently running stock GX470. Would more than likely mount it on my Eezi Awn Rack. How is it camping in cooler temps with this? I like the location because I could pick it up right before I head to Fort Lauderdale.

I used to own a 2008 GX470. Very nice vehicle. On my Tacoma I use three Rhino Rack aero bars mounted into the track on my Smart Cap. They measure 74” from the ground. With the Falcon XL mounted I measure 80.5” from the ground. My garage door opening is 83.5” high so do your measurements and that will tell us if we can back you in and use the hoist. If your too tall I can grab a couple of neighbors and we can do it by hand.

On my way to Big Bend last February, it was during the big freeze that messed up the whole state of TX. I camped two nights with the temp at 29 or 30 degrees and it was fine. I had my 3-season bag with me along with my silk bag liner and I was fine. It wasn’t fun getting up to pee, but that’s true of any winter camping situation.

Great to know! I’m currently deployed to Japan. Another 5 weeks and I should be back in the states and can take measurements or I’ll have my wife do it. Do you have an IG and I can message you there? Or should I PM you my number?

I do not have an IG account. And the height isn’t a make or break issue for you. It was for me because I take the tent on and off by myself before and after trips. In your case we would only be doing it once and we can accomplish the task regardless of the height of your vehicle. Sorry to muddy things up.
