The 6.0 diesel engine has been 100% bullet-proofed recently. This includes bulletproof external oil cooler, EGR, head studs, Ford blue spring kit, new fuel injectors, remanufactured oil pump, bulletproof billet water pump, new alternators, new glow plugs, starter batteries, etc, etc. I have all service records since the beginning, including the original Sportsmobile binder.

Espar furnace and hot water
Solar panel
Kenwood touch screen entertainment
Microwave
Sink
Refrigerator
Inverter
Interior and exterior shower
Fantastic fan

Exterior light
Side latter
Roof rack
Bushwhackers

New ball joints and sway bar bushings
Swivel seats
110V and 12V throughout
Aluminess roof rack
46 gallon fuel tank
Tire mount bike rack + ski rack

Van layout is most similar to EB10 -- see diagram here: https://sportsmobile.com/standard-plans-info/
I live in the Bay Area, the van is currently stored in Antioch, CA where I can meet to show it on weekends.

Selling because we had a baby, and we are uncomfortable attaching an infant seat to a dinette seat.

So I am interested in a van like this, but the fact that there was engine rebuild before it hit 100,000 gives me pause. What do I need to know? Are these Fords just a lot less reliable than a Toyota?

The 6.0 has some well documented issues that the seller appears to have taken care of. once taken care of this is supposedly a very reliable engine, although I have never owned one.

ViperNL has it right. There are a few known weaknesses of the 6.0. Google will turn up extensive material. But the punchline is that the head studs, EGR, oil cooler, and fuel injectors are well known weaknesses for which aftermarket “bullet proofing” exists. I had the engine rebuilt to incorporate every one of those enhancements so that I wouldn’t be chasing reliability one problem at a time.

How many gallons of water can you carry? Don't see anything mentioned on either site. this is very nice btw.

Bump. Still for sale, although I have not been very active about it. Ping me if you have interest!

Adding some info that's commonly asked: the standing interior height is between 6'1" and 6'2". Also, the bulletproofing was done professionally by Jason at Devil Mountain Diesel -- he's legit (feel free to look him up).
