Sources for fold down rear seats.

hey folks,

I've been looking at options for adding a 2nd row of seats in my ambo. Preferably something that folds down.
The RIB Altair bench seat that folds to a bed is awesome but at over $5k that's not an option.

Just saw this on Instagram though. Chrysler Stow-n-Go seats adapted into an ambo. (from @fugarwi - not sure if they are on Expo)

Haven't had a chance to look up the actual dimensions and such but figured I'd post up the pics and see what feedback people had in regards to mounting, seatbelts, etc.

It doesn’t look like they have integrated seatbelts. Not sure if you want that feature. The best option I found when I was looking to do that was the third row seats from a Yukon Tahoe or Escalade. They sit flat to the floor, but it is easy to build a tube steel structure to lift them up.

I have the 3rd row seats from Yukon. Not sure if I will use them. Seat belts built in. You can pick them up fairly cheap on FB when people trade the SUV in and have the seat sitting around the garage a few years. There is a guy on ebay that makes mounts for them if you don't get them out of the original truck.

Thanks @nsmith and @eporter The built in seatbelts on the Yukon seat do make it an attractive option.

Do either of you know the rough dimensions of the GM seat? Been googling for like 10 minutes and only getting specs for headroom, legroom, etc.

I took a bunch of pics when I sold mine after I sold the project RV.

Approx 48” wide, 23” deep, 29” to top of seat, 14” tall when folded down flat. Not sure what depth it was when folded flat. Probably 4” more so ~27” ish.
