We trailride, camp, and sometimes rockcrawl. After going thrugh several different fullsized trucks (3/4 ton 88 exborderpatrol green Burb, V10 Ram, Cummins Ram, and the little TJ) we ended up in a H1 wagon. Works great for what we like to do. Gotten tired of unloading half the truck in campspots. So now we have "rooms", and a queensized bed, inside the truck. Tents are cool, but not for us. There is almost no difference in width compared to other fullsized rigs. We do know how to turn around so.
The truck is bonestock (well almost): Upgraded to 17 inch wheels and shocks by GT Inc. Roofrack (mainly for the awning, fullsized shovel, and an extra jack). Everything else we carry goes inside, and it all fits for up to about 6 nights out, including a dog. We always have cold beer as we got tired of fighting with ice and got the Engel fridge. Since we like to move almost daily power is no problem, and usually we carry one extra yellowtop behind the driverseat.
Some past destinations: Moab area, Hole in the Rock, Death Valley, Big Bend, Gila forrest......the French/Italian alps (with our Landrover friends twodoor Rangie).
Coming up: Escalante? More Moab? ............and?
