Spare Tire Carrier Tire Size Question

Up to what size tire can you fit on a OEM spare tire carrier?

If you flip the carrier, you can fit a 265/75... About a 32.

My 245/75/16 just rubbed the top of the bumper with the carrier as it came from the factory.

Thanks. I don't have a carrier to begin with (Thanks to the previous owner) so I just wondering what I needed to order.

I forget who made it, but somebody made a bolt-on carrier that replaced the original, and made room for a bigger spare. If you have to buy something anyway, I'd just get that rather than futzing around with the original. It would also be trivial to make something.

Yeah, Lucky8 has their tubular one and they also sell the D$$ carrier, which was the one I was going to get if need be. Still 'might' go for the D44 one anyways just because.

Hate to be self-promoting but the Tire Relocator below will allow for up to a 285/75/16 on DII's. It's slightly less for a D1.
