Spring Question

OK, so I have an old Willys truck bed that was made into a trailer. I want to try and get a diffeent set of springs for it, since the ones on there look like they are from the original truck and in bad shape.
I measured them and they appear to be 36" eye to eye. Iwas looking at trailer springs and none come close to that. My brother then says, since they are on a truck bed, maybe you need truck springs (light bulb goes on here).
Oh, ya , maybe. I have looked and googled , but can't find any real good info on what the different springs out there measure eye 2 eye. I can only fong "overall" length.
Any oone have info on where to fing eye 2 eye info or what might have 36" eye2eye springs that I can snag from a yard ?
I am trying not tohave to cut off the hangers on there now.

Thanks,
Matt

The early Willys pickups and station wagons shared the same springs as the early jeep. I think you will find that 36" eye to eye is the same as front springs from a MB, GPW, CJ2,3, and early CJ-5.

You can find aftermarket jeep springs from many sources. I think that 10 leaf front springs from the models mentioned will be just what you need.

front CJ/YJ both work real well, have used both before, huge difference from those "short" trailer springs most use
