My upper and lower control arms are squeaking horibaly. I can't seem to find bushings for them. My OME suspension is on its way and want to figure this out before I tear the truck apart. Thanks

I wouldn't expect stock control arms to squeak. You may be hearing the side rubber skirts squeaking. Those are known to make noise. Regardless the stock ball joints are regreasable.

Ha! Sorry my Tapatalk confused me. I thought I was in the 5th Gen 4Runner forum.

Toyota doesn't sell just the bushing, you have to buy the whole arm...IIRC Raybestos, AC-Delco, and others make replacements...or go to poly-bushings from Energy Suspension...the polys will need to be lubed from time to time to keep from squeaking.

With no grease zerks what would you use to lube them? I can use lithium fron a can but that may be a continuos thing. Thanks for the lead on Energy Suspension.

You can remove the dust cover from a factory ball joint and repack it with grease.

Pull it apart. What grease to use varies wildly depending on who you ask, for polys, Energy Suspension has their own called Formula 5.

And you're welcome. The polys will deflect less, steering will be more precise.

Not sure that its not one, the squeak is on both sides and more so on the driver side. I don't remember seeing a grease zerk there.
Thanks

I would pull the shock, and cycle the suspension to locate where the squeak is coming from.

Harbor Fright has stethoscopes, so you can place it on each part (listen) to isolate it.
