sr rear axle swap into an ls

Hey guys I'm new here and I have looked all over this site for the answer but have had no luck. My question is this, I have a 1996 montero ls and I recently did a rear axle swap with a 95 Sr rear axle. I got the locker ecu, pump, switch, and everything in. The locker does work (I pulled the third member off to check), but the rear locker light on the dash will keep flashing instead of staying lit. Any advice would be greatly apreciated.

Are you stopping when you engage the locker or driving when trying to engage it? come to a stop, turn it on, sometimes roll forward a little and it should lock. If the compressor is working and the locker worked, i'd check for an air leak between the pump and the locker. Does the compressor ever stop running once you engage the locker? Usually the compressor will run for a few seconds and then stop once the unit is locked.

Yes I am at a complete stop when I engage it. The compressor does stop running as well and doesn't come back on. I will say the switch sometimes won't click on, do you think that could be the issue? I will also check for leaks

Check the sensor in the rear housing with a multimeter. Don't remove the sensor because you can't put it back in without disassembling the differential. Jack up the rear and put it on jack stands. Engage the locker and check the continuity on the sensor. Lock and unlock the rear checking the sensor each time. If the locker hasn't been used much the sensor will stick and not make contact. Exercising the locker may help clean the contacts in the sensor.

assume you are connected to the factory harness? Actually didn't realize there was a rear locker light in the dash of the LS.

The connector is right on the driver side frame and the connection for the locker ecu is on the driver side inside the rear plastic panel. With all that the light in the diff lights up during every start
