2006 FE 180, starts up then dies right away. Have to crank til the battery is almost dead, fires up. When it catches, if you try to give it fuel, it sputters and almost stalls. idle for about 3 or 4 minutes, happy as a clam!
Runs fine the rest of the day.
Batteries were old, weather is colder, so thought it was that. Batteries just barely with specs, needed new ones anyways as I run a lift gate. Still had the problem.
Replaced fuel filter, still happens.
Ideas?? Thanks in advance!! Could a problem with the fuel cap have anything to do with it? Gas jockey cross threaded it, now you have to reef on it hard to close, still leaks a little fuel onto tank when full.
