I am thinking about striping the herculiner off of my bumper and painting it black.(semigloss or flat) Does anyone have suggestions on a inexpensive paint that holds up to scratches and dings?

I just stripped the Duraback liner off of my center console last weekend. I used rustoleum hammered paint. The light texture covers inperfections well, its cheap, pretty durable and is super easy to touch up if it gets messed up.

My only suggestion is to buy a cheap HVLP paint gun from Harbor Frieght and buy the paint by the quart. (right now the guns are for sale for $40)
I also found that aircraft paint stripper (i used some Tal-strip from CSK Autoparts) makes the old coating pretty much fall off!
