I'd like to get a set of old school style toyota truck / hilux / cruiser steel wheels. Where is it that i can find OEM wheels like this? OR where can i find aftermarket, "knock offs" that are built to oem spec and just as durable and sturdy.

Pic is file pic used for reference.

thanks

Probably Ebay. Or search the Toyota forums, specifically an FJ forum. Maybe TRD Parts.

Google "Toyota Steelies". I was going to buy some awhile ago and I remember being able to find them pretty easily because newer FJs come with them sometimes.

It depends it you are looking for them for a solid axle truck or IFS. The backspacing is different. The first picture is of a set for a 86-91 (?) truck, the second set with the hubcaps on the red truck are for a solid axle truck.

The newer FJ rims i believe will work on an ifs truck, not sure about on a solid axle truck.

Those exact wheels and hubcaps can be purchased through Toyota if you're so inclined. I have also found them at various places that are sort of a wheel 'junkyard'. Hubcaps are hard to come by but you may not want those. Plus, I don't know about offset/stud pattern, etc. You may want to call some of the various Landcruiser restore places...there are plenty of them out there. Do you have an old P/U or are you trying to fit them on something newer? All the newer steel wheels have the round holes as far as I know...and are at least 16" dia.

just to clarify, these wheels are NOT available on new fj (cruisers) or tacomas. The fj's and tacoma's often have a steel wheel as a spare, or if you're cheap, oem all around, but they are a steel type wheel with "round holes" not the above type mentioned.

The OP pictured wheels were often found on "old/ older" american vehicles, hilux, 4 runners, pick up and of course fj 40's and all the other fj variations.

I know new Land cruisers etc from non american markets tend to have this style 6 lug wheel, which can be seen from checking the Toyota oem web sites from AU or africa as an example, as either oem option or spare which is most likely 16in, a new version of the old style 15in wheel.

I would need a 16in version, 6lug for the typical american market, tacoma,4runner or fj off set, since they are all pretty much universal for those vehicles.

thanks again

Another steel wheel option is Stockton Wheel. I've purchased wheels and have had them custom widen wheels in the past and been thrilled with the results.

There are two different wheels pictured in the first two posts of this thread.
Again - the first set is for IFS trucks, and lack provision for a hubcap. They started appearing in 1986 on the pickup and did not come on Land Cruisers in the US market

The 85 and earlier steel wheel (2nd picture) did come on Fj40s and pickups. My research for the US market is that all FJ 60/62s came with the chrome spoke style rim (originally, I always wanted to do old style hubcaps like BritKLR shows on my FJ60)

The year break is important when searching ebay or other locations depending on what set/style you seek.

The original wheels mentioned are both different from the current tacoma/FJ/4runner spare wheels with the holes.

As has been said, the old-style wheels for 40-series that include the hub cap clips are still available new from any Toyota dealer. They are only 5.5 inches wide though, and only come in black. About $100-120 a pop if your dealer gives a decent TLCA discount.

Not sure if you are near Los Angeles but I have a full set of solid steel wheels from the early 80's IFS 4x4. Decent shape. Going a different route with my 4runner. I doubt shipping would be that cost effective for you. If you are interested I will take a picture in the next couple days.
