Steering Wheel Problems!!!

Yesterday i installed a .75" spacer on top of a 2.5 inch Rough country lift and i had to take off the tie rods, steering stabalizer and track bar, once i reinstalled everything and drove it down the road going straight my steering wheel was in the 2-3:00 position, i didnt take off the pitman arm so how did this happen? And how do i fix it? And i mesured from the front fender to the center cap and then to the ground and one side is a whole inch taller! But then i measured the frame to ground and both were the same and i also put a level on the ground and on the front bumper and they both matched level, so is my jeep leaning or is my fenders just not the same? It hasnt been wrecked or hit anything so i dont know how they would be off a whole inch, please help! Thanks

To lift it. Why else would i add lift? I did it because when i add a new front bumper and winch then it will sag the front end so i added it to compensate for the lift i will loose when i do that. And when i was looking at a whole new lift, i was looking at rough country 3.25 inch lift and all it is is a 2.5 inch lift and then they add in a .75 inch spacer to the kit to make it 3.25" so why would i buy that lift when i allready have the 2.5 inch lift and can buy .75 inch spacers to add to it. And i cant afford any other lift at this time so why not match RC lift package for 50$.

There is a sleeve with two bolts on it that is connected to the drag link and tie rod end that connects to the pitman arm. Loosen those two bolts, turn the key on, have some one sit in the drivers seat, and start turning the sleeve. Have the person inside tell you if it is turning the wheel the correct way or not. If so, keep going. If not, turn it the other way. Have the person in the driver's seat tell you when to stop. Then tighten the two bolts on the sleeve and take it for a test drive. You might need to adjust it again.

When you put the heavier bumper on, you will need to adjust it again. You should also get a full alignment done at a shop to correct your caster and toe-in as these change when you change the suspension height.

You may need a pipe wrench or channel locks to turn the sleeve. They have photos and instructions on JK Forum.

The land rover guy can stay out of the jeep thread.

Actually i have nothing against landrover people. I actually go wheeling with a LR club and im the only jeep guy and they are the only people i have to go wheeling with, because one of my best friends drives a LR. But i would rather have a comment relevant to my question than an obvious statement about my problem. Just saying

I hear you. As I said, was trying (and failing apparently) to be funny. it happens.

I find the "LR Guy" designation a bit surprising. Always thought of myself as a "all-around guy" or maybe even a G wagon guy if it comes to that. Certainly have no beef with Jeep, LR, etc..driven most of them at one time or another. except Toyota...just never got my hands on one.

anyway, I hope some of the others were able to help...sorry I did the opposite! :)

Those all-around G wagon people are jerks.

I thought it was funny ...
