SOLD! ---Steiner Military 7x50 Binoculars, used

SOLD!

This was my first pair of Steiners that I bought as reconditioned from a company called Deutsche Optics in 1998. They were Israeli Defense Forces issued and originally had a mechanical compass which was removed and a plug fitted to the opening.

DO probably bought them as pretty beat up, repaired and replaced various things, refilled with Nitrogen and sold a bunch of them. They did a fair job but had cost limits in mind. Not a Steiner factory job by any means. Under a magnifying lens it still looked as if there was some sand from the Middle East left in small crevices. :ylsmoke:

7 Power with a 50mm Objective lens, weight 37 ounces. Right hand optics have a reticle labeled 0 - 80 Horizontally and 0 - 40 Vertically with major increments in 10 mils.

Condition fair to good. I have not beat them up so they look pretty much the same as when I received them. I've taken a bunch of photos, some less than flattering but it lets folks see for themselves. I'm asking for $200 plus shipping

A new pair with the mechanical compass go for $730 to $1000. A good used set on Ebay went for $200 and a trashed set for $100.

If you have something good for barter don't be shy...

Hmmm... I know a guy that likes to barter. What you need? :costumed-smiley-007

Coyote Brown is a good color to start with... But maybe send me a list of what is available? At some point we can meet to eyeball the barter candidates

Those are very similar to the Steiner M22s I used to have, but at a much lower price. (I downsized to Steiner 8x30s.) Quality optics, and the mil reticle can be very useful if you know how to use it. Seems like a good deal if all is in order.
