Pulled the dipsstick after getting it home, just to make sure.. Nothing on the stick.. Add a quart.. Nothing on the stick.. Add another quart.. Nothing on the stick.. Half o a third quart and it's hitting the tip of the stick finally..

Yup, sounds like you got a classic 3.5L there. Just check that oil every time you fill up until you get a feel for how much it burns. My VehiCROSS burns about half a quart or so every 1000 miles. Sometimes more! :yikes:

The 3.5L motors are notorious for this problem. Sorry to be the one to tell you about it, but I guess I am glad I did since you checked it so soon and found a dry dipstick!

You might also read some of the oil burning threads over at Vehicross.info, as it is the same motor. Some interesting information about it.
