Hey folks,
1st question: So often times when I hit a bump in the road, and I am applying brakes, suddenly the brake pedal begins to vibrate heavily. Its quite obvious, both through feel and audibly. I can push the brake pedal through it and the brakes will continue to work, however it's not until you either completly release the brakes or you are putting some serious pressure into the pedal that the behavior stops. Also, there is an audible whine from somewhere forward (engine bay) when the behavior starts. Also it only seems to happen when a bump is hit on the right side of the vehicle, though this may just be a case of I only notice it when on the right side.
2nd question, completly unrelated to the above. Some days, after the engine is well warmed up, while driving along if I press in the clutch, and take my foot off the accelerator, engine RPM stays higher than normal while coasting. It will hover around 1100 - 1200. With transmission in neutral, clutch in, not giving any gas, engine RPM will stay that high until I come to a full stop, at which point it idles down to ~600 RPM. This behavior happens randomly, example: 3 days ago I unhooked the negative lead from the negative terminal on the battery to do some work, maybe 30mins. For the next 2 days this behavior was constant and repeatable, yesterday it abruptly stopped. However, as I said, it comes back randomly.
Thanks for any help
