Yah. And not torque it down to 270+ like the last knucklehead.

Demon bolt. Lol
The one that gets me is the forward most bolt at the EGR tube connection. And the one behind the AC pump holding the bracket in place.

I'm moving ac over from a 91 LS. I've been warned...

I'll update the bump pic w the bar in the correct location and could make it a sticky if folks think that is a good idea. It would have got me to try it earlier... there seemed to be some mystery around it to me...

I just pulled my crankshaft pulley last night, and my cousin who was helping me suggested this method. I avoided it as long as possible and tried every other method available, but that bolt was not coming off. So we did it. Like others have said, just tap the starter for a split second and your done - the bolt is loose! It's definitely nerve wracking the first time, but after seeing how easily this worked I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. We also braced the breaker bar against the underside of the passenger frame rail.

I keep forgetting to post a correct picture. Here 'tis.

I'll see if I can delete my old incorrect one.

I envy you guys that have to wrestle to get your bolts out. My crankshaft bolts come out all on their own and usually in pieces. But hey, I just hit 200k so I guess it's time to do the timing belt again even though I just did it 25k ago.
