Stupid question... Can I "paint" my antenna?

I bought two antenna's. One VHF antenna and one Diamond 2/70m antenna. I just dont like the stainless. Can I put a light coat of rattle can black on it?

I've painted radio antennas before and had not issues.. Worse case if it does cause issues, it's nothing a little acetone won't remove..

I'd stay away from any metalic or metal flakes though..

Depends on the antenna. You can paint a metal whip with paint with metal in it, just dont paint a fiberglass whip with a metal paint.

Metal in paint will make the swr jump up. Use a non matallic paint and you will have no problems.
