Supercamper

Cool rig and camper, and Super cool videos. A friend of ours just moved out by Joshua Tree National Park this week, my wife and I are planning a trip down there in about three months.

That was the first video I've seen since "The Supercamper gets destroyed in Baja".

I never noticed before how it's designed kind of like a hybrid between a traditional slide in truck camper and a flatbed/traytop camper. A traditional flatbed camper sits above the wheel wells. The super camper has the wheel wells built into the camper thus enabling the camper to sit lower.

Sweet, this is along the line of a vehicle that I was thinking of. I will be looking for more info on their sweet ride.:sombrero:

I built a chassis mount camper on a 1953 Chevy truck in about 1968. I dropped the floor down between the frame rails in back of the differential to get headroom. and had a small over the cab storage area so it had a lower center of gravity. I solved the toilet problem by putting a hole in the floor in front of the stand up area and over the diff. Worked good, I lived in this camper in LA for 6 months. I knew all the good parking areas. Prior to my marriage and 6 week northern tour of Ca Or and Wash. Building your own camper is great fun.
