superflow mv-50 air compressor ?'s

just got one today and have a few questions. can the mounting feet be moved to clock the compressor, i.e. putting the mounts on the side instead of on the bottom? can the size of the wire be upgraded? it looks like #12 at best, maybe 14. seems a little small for 30 amps. i may try to tear into it today to answer my own questions but thought some one may have a quick answer.

I just took a look at mine and it looks pretty easy to do what you ask. Simple allen head bolts...

Hint: While you are fooling around with the compressor, check the tightness of the cylinder head bolts - from the box mine were loose...

is there any way to upgrade the wiring? i am thinking o eventually hardwiring it straight to the battery and would like to use bigger wiring.

any experiences with this compressor?

That's my write up of a mv-50 install. You can mount the unit on it's side without any problems. I thought about upgrading the wiring, but since I only intend to use it for intermittent duty it seemed a little overkill, however, you could easily upgrade the wiring from the switch, it's joined to the inside wiring by wire nuts.

I upgraded the wires on mine to 10G with no problems.
