98 Suzuki Kei Truck, aka Minitruck, for sale with 660cc Turbocharged 5 Speed Manual, and just under 50,000 miles. Well used, and well maintained.
With an A-Frame camper shell, that fits the rig. Overhangs about 4 to 5 inches per side. Folds down to make miles, and folds back up to provide portable shelter where ever your ATV trail can take you.

Crew Cabs are available, but eats up 4 feet of the bed. Kei classification requires the vehicle only be so wide, 4'6", and 10'6" long, for the time this was built. Japan has let the slide occur, and I have seen 11.9' long now. Why not 12'? I don't know.

Just curious, what kind of gas milage do you get in this thing?

Roughly 45mpg at 50 to 55mph, with a steady decline at increase of speed/payload. I venture 20 to 30mpg at 70mph, depending on wind direction, incline and what not. The turbo and 5 speed manual get it going, at sacrifice of mileage. Worst gas milage was 20mpg, and I was pounding up and down hills and valleys at 72mph. Amazingly overbuilt examples on how our Eastern trading partners take our technology, use it, and make really amazing stuff. These vehicles just last. Kinda like a watch I know, takes it, and keeps on running. That it takes a 500 to 750 payload to those speeds with just 660ccs!

California allows LSV, and has made no law for or against MSV

Why, yes indeed they are. With that being said, some municipalities may have differing opinions, but California states ok on roads with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less, which it defines as Low Speed Vehicles. There is however, no such law for Medium Speed Vehicles as of yet in California. No law, means no decision for or against. Which means good to go.
Whether CHPS will hunt you down for doing 70mph elsewhere, I don't know, and a lot of these aren't capable of those speeds. These were sold from early 60's on, but most stayed on bases, campuses, industrial parks and parks departments properties. Interstates are Federal, and they have directives to keep these off Federal Highways. Another interesting tale in and of itself.

Forgot to mention that it sold for $5500 back in September 2013. Miss the little ride. Saw it for sale a month or two ago in SW Minnesota...thought about buying it back.
