Any of y'all ever used shaft clamps on your sway bar to keep it from migrating from side to side?
My front sway bar has moved toward the passenger side and the disconnect bolt rubs on the frame.
I can grab it and yank it back over and it stays for a day or so. I am guessing the bushings must be getting worn out, but right now I don't really have the time, money or desire to mess with that.
I found on Jeep Forum a thread where it was recommended to get these shaft clamps and place them on the inside of the sway bar mounts on either side to keep the bar in place.
I ordered them and am going to see if it will work until eventually I may go with the Currie Anti-Rock system or something similar.
Another consideration is that I have an ARB bumper with a winch in it - and I'm not particularly keen on having to pull the winch and bumper off to do any serious sway bar repairs.
Any thoughts, suggestions and comments - positive or negative - are welcome.
My vehicle is an '04 TJ Rubicon - 4" Full Traction lift and I'm running the stock tires right now.
EDIT This is basically what I ordered - but from a different company for less money. Clamps
