I took these pics at my Link above just days after the new FJ arrived at my hometown Toyota Dealer.............for ALL my ExPo Buddies! I spent over an hour crawling all over these FJ's.

Man, you suck Mark! I really like the FJ, and now those really cool pics makes me long even more for one.

As for a soccer ball in the rear window, if you see it Wil, make sure you follow that individual and when they park and get out SOCKEM in the nose! J/K:D

Great pictures! They really have grown on me. I really like them in Black also. Is it just me, or does the exhaust piping just behind the cross member & underneath the transfer case seem to be in a vunerable place? (sure it's been brought up before...) Really though they seem well put together and it's hard to second guess Toyota crafstmanship.

*SIGH*

I keep dreaming... but I have to keep my goal of an FJ40 ahead of such dreams.

I kind of agree with you on that!

After sitting in the new FJ.............it just feels way too cavernous in the drivers seat!......yet not tons of room in the back for storage and sleeping like my 4Runner (yes tall, but not long)......among many others things I will not go into here.

I'm glad I got to get up close and personal. I had lots of fun crawling ALL over it! Just thought I would share with the group.....and test out my new camera at the same time.

Please...........do not take my pics as a personal endorsement of this vehicle.:ylsmoke:

I went and checked one out today.

Cool rig, got some nice features, but also had 2 VERY important drawbacks that would prevent me from getting one.

-By far, the WORST visibility of any vehicle i have EVER driven.

-Passenger legroom is actually worse then my 80, i didnt know that was even possible! :D

Anyway, its a cool rig, but a little too modern for me!

I stopped by the dealership and checked one out today as well.

Yeah, who was the rocket scientist who decided to put a window in at the last moment??

I actually liked the interior, no carpet. It would be rreeaaallllyyyyy cool if they put that kind of interior into a Taco. I don't think there is enough room in it. Same issue as the Jeep Rubi-Ultd.

Seems like fun vehicle. Upside - Toyota. Downside, seems like a really complex system with all of the trac controls and such. As far as the Taco vs FJC debate, they are two different vehicles for 2 different purposes. I think that image thing is the only place where there is competition between them.

Now Rubi-Ultd or FJC? That is a good question!

Also, I had to laugh at the inclinometer on the dash!

I got invited to a release party for it at the local dealer. I'll have to wear Garlic to keep the vulture salesmen off of me(they are really bad at Gilroy Toyota!)

Went and saw one first-thing Saturday morning. I wanted to pick up the free magazine if nothing else. All I have to say is WOW! I love it. The one I saw is black, and it was presold so I couldn't test-drive. As soon as they get one in for test-drive they are calling me.

Best thing of all... my wife really liked it and said the suicide doors would be enough for her to be satisfied. If we have a gas-mileage sedan she would like an FJ as well. =)

I'm sold... I'm just not in a position to buy right now. The T100 suits me and has plenty of life left. Plus, it'd be hard to go from truck to SUV. I could always do both... hmmm. :ylsmoke:

As for me, I am dying to check one out. I would love to get a closer look at one, but so far there is no room in the budget for one, and I am still loving my Trooper.
