OK I know this has been covered before, but I couldnt find the answers I was looking for. Also I dont want this to become a pro/anti debate so we'll just skip that. I'm not looking for long term storage, just something to place a pistol in when I go to a place that I can't carry, or on road trips through a state that require the firearm to be locked up. Also it would be a good place to keep electronics and what not when I'm in less than trustworthy areas.
I'm looking at ideas of how to fit a slim pistol vault into a 1999 Tacoma extra cab with bucket seats. I would prefer one that fits under the driver's seat and doesnt get in the way when I move the seat forward. Does anyone have anything they have found that fits under the seat? I know there are several people producing console vaults for the 2nd get tacos, but nothing so far for the first gen. I wouldn't be opposed to a canter console vault either. I would prefer it to keep the factory look as to not draw attention to what might be inside. So in keeping with the out of sight out of mind idea, what do you guys have?
