I suppose you folks could chip in and help pay for some of the cost required to run a website, that way sponsors wouldnt be required. If thats something your not willing to do then its not productive to get all self righteous about the very means that keeps this site up and running.

Sponsors contribute to the site because we visit it. Without viewers and contributors the whole thing goes dark. ExPo is not about the sponsors, IMHO, it's about us users.

There have been several threads in the past about paying memberships to eliminate ads; you'll find my name in those threads as a supporter of that option.

When ExPo start using their editorial credibility to shill for sponsors (a rare but not unheard of occurrence) I have a problem with it. When a member company on the forum posts something relatively commercial I see it as mostly harmless and easy to ignore.
