Over the years I have found lots of nifty ideas for improvements to my trailer on various forums so I felt it was time to give a little back so here goes.
I will start with one of the more recent fabrications. My wife and I find that when we use the stove on the fold down door/bench, it always seems that you want to get something from the kitchen area or one of the ammo boxes (which I moved to the kitchen side). So, taking inspiration from the wash basin mount that was an option on the trailers I built a stand that attaches to the jerry can rack. I used 1" aluminium tubing and some Al angle to make the supports. Now the great bit is I was looking at having a custom fabricated pan to set the stove on when I came across a large Al "bun pan" at a commercial kitchen shop for $9 that does the trick nicely. The unit is very rigid (surprisingly) and turned out better than I expected. Beware of the price of the fancy push lock pins though!:Wow1: There is more money in the pins than everything else but I am a sucker for those nifty bits. (More pins to come in later posts)
