The Moab Weekend Report

Brett-

That's the plan for next time! Didn't want to push my luck with a broken brake line ;).

Perry-

Unfortunately I'm feeling the squeeze after last weekend or we'd be there, thanks for the invite!

Guess for now I'll just read everyone else's trip reports for the last half year or so :p...it's been too long.

No worries.

I will not be at Cruise Moab this year, as I will be in Madrid visiting my GF. But there is a trip in the works for either late Sept or early Oct. I'll send you a pm as I get more info. See you out there one of these days:beer: .

A note on "Impossible Hill". It is located roughly at 38.037260N 109.948708E WGS84. I would be impressed to see any vehicle climb up or down the beginning of this route down to the bottom of Cross Canyon...in fact it is such a difficult and remote line that I suspect few vehicles have used the route in a long time, and it is deteriorating to a singletrack hiking trail for about a hundred feet past the major obstacle, despite the remainder of the hill being perfectly drivable doubletrack, and a route still visible in the bottom of Cross Canyon. One of these days I'll get pictures...we didn't go past the trail this time.

Gotta get pics off the cell phone...

We ran a group up and down it last fall:

Excellent! Glad to see that route is still being used. Cross Canyon looks like an interesting area, worth checking out.

That rig looks like the sort of vehicle I'd expect to see negotiating that obstacle.
