The new old Land Rover Discovery is in the driveway

So now for the big question. I am trying to decide what to do with the 18" rims. I'd rather have 16" rims. I'll mount BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. Where is a good place to buy rims and what is available for the Discovery II? And then . . . what do you do to get a BFG AT spare mounted on the spare mount? It doesn't look to me like there will be enough clearance with the bumper. A new rear bumper with a spare mount is a bridge too far right now.

go to Discoweb, there are several people that will have the rims ( stock )

Randy Williams, Will Tillery, Marty Powell, Elias Christeas, P.T. Schram Paul Grant + several others.

Many vendors carry Steelies.

As for fitting the BFG A/T...., what size are you going to use?

If you were to use the equivalent of what your 18" are ( 29.4" ) you'll have no problem. Now if you are going 265-75R16 ( 31.2" ) tires, you can get an adapter that flips over the patter on the "V" mount hence raising to fit your wheel; available at www.lucky8llc.com
Now if you go the route of 31.2" tires, you will rub off road, you'll be okay on road.

Good luck

remove the spare carrier, rotate 180, cut a notch for the rear wiper- will be obvious, and ready to go. Takes about an hour start to finish, cost nothing, and works the best.

I had a DII and with 265-75R16 at full articulation will rub, specially if you do not trim the lip on the front bumper.

Dale is right on the carrier trick, I forgot about it.

Thanks everyone. I'm in Northern Saskatchewan and have spotty internet coverage. If I don't post my thanks for a few days, I'm not being rude.

A new ARB front bumper will be the second thing after the rims and tires.

I've got some 16" rims I'm trying to sell but they are in TN and shipping will be a beast. I'm asking $200 for all four if your interested.

Last night I my sensors came in the mail. After reseating the plug wire I decided to go ahead and change out the right front 02 sensor...and wouldn't you know it...I have two male plug ends now. Unbelieveable! I cut off the new male connector and spliced the old connector to the new sensor. And oh yeah, discovered that I had a vacuum line hose dry rotted & disconnected going to some part, so I cut off the end of it, rerouted it to give me more length, and oh my gosh my cruise control works again!!! Ha ha ha I love it.
