Look in the Domestic Fullsize section for lots of threads on tires. I'm Running a set of Hercules Terra Trac II's on my Jeep that were priced very well, and I am loving them. They're even made in the good ol' USA!! If you check Discount Tire Direct for deals, that might help too. Some of the companies offer rebates that can go a good ways to making tires more affordable. Discount has a Cooper that only they carry that does pretty well too.. ATP? Something like that. Cooper's AT3 gets used a lot around here on the oil field service trucks too. Everything else I've seen is pretty heavily lugged and wears down pretty quickly, or is fairly pricey...
Good luck!
