Over the weekend I remove the Frontier M180 front diffrential from my 2005 Frontier and installed the Titan M205 front diffrential with axles from V8 Pathfinder to keep the same track width.

Here are a few pic's of the size difference

I'm interested to know how that works out for you. This should theoretically solve the Fronty/X front dif issues, right?

No modification done to the diff. or the truck. Fits perfectly. TO my knowledge I am the 4th or 5th person to the Titan diff. (m205). The second with the Pathy axles.

The V6 Pathy (U.S), Xterra's, and Frontiers have the M180 front diff.
The Nissan Navara has the M200.

The M205 differential can been found in the V8 Pathy's, Titan's, and Armada's.

Really the only difference is peace of mind. In the last three year with the M180 I have never had a problem. This just give me a little more security when I take a 6 or 8 hour drive to wheel for the weekend that I will be able to drive the truck home.

Breaking the axle has more to do the driving style. If you like hitting the skinny pedal you will break it.

If you continue to drive without replace the broken axle or disabling the front diff. by remove the other half shaft then the broken axle will damage the differential.

Excellent work Mike, love to see that posting over on the Pathfinder TNP forum. ;)

Now I'm wondering how hard it would be to slip an Armada rear diff into a PF. :)

Hopefully gears should be out in a few months.

Titans with the tow package or the Offroad has the 3.36. All other Titans have the 2:94 gears.

Only the Crew Cab Frontier with the automatic transmisson has the 3.36 gears.
