TJ Magnum Swap Question

Glad to see you got it running. I'm sad to see the ZJ got gutted for it though. :(

Thanks. I hope I'm making the right choice. I really considered getting another stock 5.9L and doing a milder build...but I sold my Miata and was missing the open air...plus a V8 Wrangler is just kinda cool. If I end up not liking it, I should be able to get plenty out of it to build a sick ZJ :)

So, my headers are glowing red after about 2-3 minutes of idling. This started after I installed the exhaust. Prior to that, the o2 sensor was in open air. When I installed the o2 sensor, I noticed the "protector" was missing. The o2 sensor is reading, as I hooked up the obd scanner and watched live data (stayed at .780-.880 missy of the time with a couple drops to .170 and .630)

Could that "protector" missing be the cause of it running lean? In the pic here it's labeled "protective nose tube with slots

The glowing exhaust means the PCM is dumping fuel into the engine thinking it is running lean.

I'd get another O2 sensor and start over.

My Magnum swap had lots of these little annoyances. Relays too. Grrr.

Yea, I want to get one, but also don't want to throw money at it if that's not the issue...I also want to be driving it...(o2 from Rock auto = $30, o2 locally = $70+)

There are a couple factors I want to mention here:
--I drove the jeep without this issue multiple times on short trips (1 mile or so, running for maybe 5-10 mins max)
--I did drive it open header to get the exhaust done, approx 15 miles away. During this time, both o2 sensors were laying out in open air, plugged in
--I drove the Jeep home from exhaust WITHOUT the front o2 sensor in the exhaust, since the wires were too short. I extended the wires, put it in the exhaust, and now this is happening
---------------That leads me on a thought process as follows:-------------
---The o2 sensor is not reading right/not working correctly, but since it was reading SO MUCH air before (since it was in open atmosphere) it was compensating half-way correct. Is this possible since I've read on the OBD scanner that it was capable of going from .880v to .160v
OR
---I was running like this before, but the above issue masked it

---I'm going to diagnose the throttle position sensor CEL when I get home. Could this cause it? I assume not, but I can't say for sure.
---After that will be the idle air control...I feel like that could cause it as well, but I wasn't getting a CEL for the IAC prior to the swap in the Jeep the motor came out of, so I'm curious is wiring could be bad?

OR

---I put something together wrong with the engine...either the intake gasket is leaking (I really don't think so) or the timing is off (I've triple checked the timing is on point, but some were saying the cam gear could be off)

Look at the codes below, and tell me what you guys think!

I pulled the codes again, and here they are:
