TJ snorkel

I have an ARB snorkel and it runs right under the bottom battery.. I moved the original ARB intake and replaced with a generic abs reducer.. not sure if this helps but it works. I'll see if I can get the camera out tonight and shoot some pics

What kind of dual battery tray? I am running the kilby tray and would like to know if the Safari snokel piping will still fit.

It's been so long since I installed it I forget which one. It's staggers the batteries 1 on top of the other. Not much help there.
I removed the snorkel because I never used it and it looked funny. The TJ actually runs better without it, I believe it was constricting the air flow to the intake.

It's for sale.

I am running a Safari Snorkel on my 2004 TJ Rubicon. I am also running the Mean Green dual battery tray - with two batteries "stacked" on top of each other, rather than side-by-side.... The tubing for the snorkel clears everything under the hood just fine.

I'll post some pictures as soon as I get get into the sun tomorrow or over the weekend.

Here are some pictures of how my setup works... My next step is to see if there is a way I can modify one of the aftermarket "high-flow" intakes onto the Snorkel intake tubing to get a bit better "flow".....DSC02467.jpg DSC02469.jpg DSC02470.jpg

First picture is obviously a side view....
Second picture is attempting to show how "hose" from Snorkel routes under the dual battery tray (from low on the front fender) and under the fuse box.
Third picture is attempting to show the "hose" attaching into the bottom/front of the stock air box. Please note that there is a "plug" that fits over the hole in the front of the stock air box to help seal out dust & H20....

What is the reason for using two red tops?

Honestly, I don't recall - other than the shop/friend that helped me with the battery tray install had a deal on them at the time (I did the work about 4-5 years ago). The Red Tops have lasted thus far, with some winching - honestly only one or two days of "heavy duty" winching in all that time....

If you notice the bracket holding the top battery down was a piece I had to create because there wasn't one in the kit that came from Mean Green. It was supposed to be there, but wasn't - and of course, by the time we noticed, it was while we were putting everything back together! Mr. Murphy strikes again - the last time I started work without verifying ALL parts are there.....:)
