TJ Used Aftermarket Parts

I'm going to start slowly building an 04' Rubi. I would like to find used aftermarket parts for it, rather than buying new... is there a good site for this? Searching Craigslist ads all over the country is giving me a headache.

Ebay, craigslist, and our local ksl classifieds http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=13 are saturated with parts. I have bought very few parts brand new for my Jeeps since I got into the hobby over 13 years ago.

Other option would be to hit up Jeep specific junkyards. But be prepared... they charge a premium! I'd say the best bet would be to buy a wrecked (or two depending on the damages) Rubys and build one from it. But don't fool yourself into thinking it will be any cheaper.

Over the years i have bought a number of used parts, finding them on this local to North Carolina site.
Doubtful that most would ship but perhaps you have a similar site where you live.

Good luck. Patience is the key for this kind of buying... and understanding that whatever the "best" new flashy fancy thiing out there is not going to be available... of course, new parts coming out free up the "old, used to be the best" parts from those guys who absolutely have to have the latest.

I have saved thousands.

jeepforum.com is another place to cruise the classifieds on. I've still had decent luck cruising CL, but it takes time and patience.
