Towing with 03 f150 supercrew 5.4

UHAULER

I'm thinking about getting a carson rebel toyhauler they are 7'x14' and weigh about 3,200# empty, closer to 3,500-4,000 ready to go. I had one about 5 years ago and pulled it with an 02 f350 7.3 diesel no problem. Right now this is the only truck I have. Just trying to decide if it will pull it for a while until I can upgrade the truck. Ideally would like to find an 02-05 f250 v10 with manual trans.

I used to tow around 3000 with my f150. But had weight distribution hitch and sway bars. Over kill probably but better to be safe

The 5.4 was in the SD's as well. 9000# is no big deal for it.

If the truck's stable and level. Add spring as needed.

My buddy used to pull a heavy steel 4 place open snowmobile trailer with a truck just like that, it did the job fine. Probably 1500 lb empty trailer (total guess, could have been much more, sure felt like it), plus ~2400 lb of sleds, and a tall spray shield on the front. Usually ran in 3rd gear, until a headwind kicked up or climbing a pass, then it was 2nd gear. He was the only one with a crew cab so we were always taking his truck.
