Track Width Restrictions ??

So, I am slowly modifying my 2000 Tundra and looking at more challenging terrain. My biggest concern is the higher alpine trails and there traverses that I live near in the Colorado Rockies. Looking at pictures of Pearl Pass and some other classics nearby have me a bit concerned.
My track width from outside to outside tread is 77" Obviously not the widest vehicle out there.
I know, it's always a trade off of vehicle size and terrain.
I guess I'm wondering if any of the full size crew has had trouble running any of the Colorado traverses or the like.

What is the wheelbase of your Tundra? You should be fine on most trails unless you plan rockcrawling type trails.

My H3 has major desert pin-striping from "Jeep" width trails but I have had no problems with track or wheelbase so far on most trails.

The wheel base is 130".
I am concerned about this section of Pearl Pass (width) more than anything else off the top of my head.

I'd bet you'll be fine thru there as long as you don't use crazy offset wheels and tires that look better suited to a mars lander

You can often drive something "big" on smaller, tighter trails, it just takes a little more finesse in your driving style. On that pic, if your truck was too wide, you could put a couple tires on the uphill side by a few inches and ease on around.

Keep in mind that if you are "wide" you are not a full foot wider that the truck in the pic, just put 8" uphill and 4" downhill from where his tires are and you are GTG. *it looks like he's got at least a foot on the downhill and another 6-8" on the top side

You will be fine... that picture is a little deceiving, looks like there is a foot or more of road left on the passenger side. I don't remember anything on Pearl Pass that was overly narrow.

i four wheel in the rockies all the time and i run a suburban. you can fit down most trails here is Red Cone it had some tight spots but managble. here are some pics

77" track width would have no problems on Pearl or most any other Colorado trail. My ZJ sits right about that, never had any issues.

Thanks guys, I think I will do a loop including pearl in a week or so after get some things done on my rig. I have a little Honda Trail 90 that I may do a bit of pre running if I am without other vehicles. Nobody ever seems to mind spotting when they get to ride the 90 in front the whole trail...
