I drove to Asheville this week and picked up a Garmin Gpsmap 62 at REI. Came home intending on purchasing T4A, loading it onto the unit, and packing it in a Pelican for the journey to Uganda this weekend.
In order to complete checkout, you have to register. I hate registering because it's more spam I'll likely get and it is one more company that has my info. However, you can't make a purchase until they process your registration.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not being impatient as I submitted the request a mere 24 hours ago. My sense of entitlement is packed away, I assure you. I'm just, confused. Why would a company not make purchasing from them as easy as possible? "Before we give you a chance to give us money, we'd like to have your information and ask you to wait until we create your account."
Just doesn't make sense to me. Does not change my opinion of the company, really. I'm still excited about getting the maps. I just don't understand the logic behind delaying the purchase process.
