This is a Trek 6700 mountain bike that I have modified and upgraded to be used as a touring bike (on or off road). The frame is awsome, Trek Alpha ZX Aluminum (made in the USA) and is 16.5", or 42 cm (I'm 5'6 and it seems it has become a tad small for me over the years). It has Avid disc brakes and two sets of brake levers on the drop bars (the inside set is nice to have for downhill riding off road). Recent upgrades include the Shimano Deore LX Crankset (which was $300), a Deore LX rear derailer, Dura Ace bar end shifters, Shimano rear cassette, and Crane Creek brake levers (on the outside). It has front AND rear "Old Man Mountain" racks which are really sturdy, stable and light weight. There is a Surly rigid fork on the front and I also have the original Judy Rock Shox fork that is included with the bike if you want to change it out (it is compatible with the front rack). I am also including fenders, a handle bar bag and the original mt. bike handle bars with the original shifters and brake levers if you are so inclined to take this bike back to its origins. The Ortlieb panniers in the picture are not included in the sale, sorry, I will still be using those. I just put on new handle bar tape and it is ready to go. If you are interested in overland bicycle touring and don't want to spend a fortune on new bike, this bike is in great shape with really great components. $800 Please email if intersted troutspots@gmail.com Thanks, Daniel
