Just got back from a trip out to southern Utah, Nevada, and southern Colorado. This was my first real road trip in my Truck and this is my first ever trip report.

The plan was to drive through Southern Utah to scout future adventures while seeing some amazing scenery on our way to Las Vegas to meet up with some of my brother in-laws friends for 2-3 days, then to meet up with a group of 6 in Lake City Colorado to run the Alpine Loop. We planned to also hit up some of the Man vs. Food hot spots along the way. Total mileage was 5,6200 for the trip but only had 8-9 days to get it done. The first half of the trip was all high way.
We left on Friday June 22 taking Interstate 70 with our mission to make it to Moab Utah on day #2. We drove the first day making it to Lawrence Kansas for our first night. After five hours of sleep woke up and made it to Denver in time for a late lunch for some fish tacos at Rubios. From there we made it to Moab Utah in the early evening.

Made it out to Moab Brewery for some much needed food and beer. Woke up at 5 AM and drove around scouting out Moab but did not venture on any trails ( I know I know). It was at this point in our trip that we found out my Countor HD Camera was not working thus no pics up to this point.
We then took Interstate 70 to Rt 72 on our way to the one of the most scenic drive in the country Rt 12.
